Meet Our Team!

Teddy Gonzalez

President & Founder

Teddy has been an advocate for animals since she was a young girl. Having been a vegetarian for over decade and vegan for the last six years, Teddy is passionate about expanding animal rights and treating all earthly beings equal. Teddy has been involved with animal rescue for five years before founding For the Love of Cats.

Teddy graduated from Arizona State University in 2019 with two degrees; a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a Bachelor of Arts in Sustainability. In May 2022, she graduated from the Sandra Day O' Connor College of Law with her Juris Doctor. She is licensed to practice in D.C. and currently works for the College of Law.

Brenden Leader

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Brenden became involved in animal rescue five years ago, and has been vegan for six years. He cares deeply for the world around him and hopes that he can improve the lives of each person and non-human animal he encounters. Brenden enjoys spending time with his fiancée, Teddy, coaching boxing, and playing basketball.

Brenden graduated from Arizona State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management and a minor in Sustainability.  He graduated from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law in May 2022 with his Juris Doctor and works as an attorney in Phoenix handling civil litigation matters.

Jordan Igo

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Jordan first entered the rescue world when she adopted her first cat, Freddy. Since then, her outlook on life has changed, and she has been committed to advocating for animals however she can, including becoming a vegetarian. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family and competing in triathlons.

Jordan graduated from Arizona State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a minor in Business. She graduated from Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law with her Juris Doctor in May 2022. She is currently working as an attorney for the State of Arizona.

Christy Pribish

Outreach Coordinator

Christy began her involvement in rescue and TNR several years ago when she noticed an overpopulation of cats at her apartment complex. She began taking care of cat colonies, working hard to make sure they were all fixed and taken care of with food and shelter. After putting in the time and effort to fix and care for her cat colony, Christy wanted to continue this work on a bigger scale to help even more cats.

Christy is responsible for helping FTLC grow through making connections in the Phoenix area with different businesses and organizations, which she does easily with her kind and outgoing personality. FTLC is so lucky to have such a compassionate, caring, and driven person like Christy join our team and help combat the homeless cat crisis in Maricopa County!

Here are a few of our most recent rescue kitties– some of which we rescued from a very bad hoarding situation. All of these kitties are either adopted or are currently up for adoption through one of our rescue partners.

& The FTLC Team's Pets!

Between the three of us, we have a bunch of companion animals– including cats, dogs, & small animals!

Animal advocacy, rescue, and outreach are deeply embedded into our everyday lives.
